Firearm Requirements

 

The SASS rules on firearms depends on the type of match:  main, team, and side match.

 

Basic Pointers:

 

Firearms must be safe and in working condition.

 

Firearms must operate as intended by their pre-1900s design.

 

Some modifications are allowed as detailed in the SASS handbook.

 

For main matches:  two single action pistols, 1 rifle, and 1 shotgun are required.

What is Cowboy Action Shooting?
